English professor Dr. Don King is the recent recipient of a $6,000 grant from the Appalachian College Association (ACA) for his continuing research concerning British author C.S. Lewis. Dr. King’s research will focus on all of Lewis’ published poetry, along with a modest collection of remaining unpublished poems. The ACA grant will allow Dr. King to commence working on his sixth and final book in the sequential study of C.S. Lewis’ life, The Poetry of C. S. Lewis: A Critical Edition. Read More

Current Spotlight
Montreat College invites the local community to two events featuring Dr. Frank Turek, dynamic author and speaker. Dr. Turek will present evidence for Christianity, cross-examine arguments against it, and answer questions from the audience. Dr. Turek will present on February 1 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on February 2 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. during the college’s weekly chapel service. Both presentations will be held in Gaither Chapel and are free and open to the public. Read More
