Position Announcement
 
The Advancement Office of Montreat College is pleased to announce the following professional vacancy.
 
Position: Assistant to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement
 
I.                   Personal Qualifications: The successful candidate will have demonstrated the following personal qualifications, among others.

II.                Responsibilities and Duties: The successful candidate will report to the College’s Vice President for Institutional Advancement and be responsible for the following strategic initiatives, among others.
 
·         assisting in arranging travel;
·         organizing meetings and appointments;
·         internal external calendar management;
·         delegating work and workload planning;
·         dealing with post and web emails;
·         liaising with members of the Advancement/Alumni team;
·         keeping personnel records;
·         monitoring the office budget;
·         dealing with queries and complaints on the telephone, by email and in person;
·         organizing office maintenance and repair work;
·         answer phones and respond to inquiries;
·         route requests to appropriate staff person;
·         assist team members in preparation of presentations;
·         review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents; prepare background documents and outgoing mail as necessary;
·         welcoming and looking after visitors;
·         assist team members in the planning and execution of college events;
·         maintain and order office supplies, equipment, and postage as necessary; and
·         perform other duties as the need arises and as directed by the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
 
III.             Work Experience: The successful candidate will have at least two (4) years of experience as an assistant or office manager.
 
IV.             Salary and Benefits: The salary assigned to this position is dependant upon the candidate’s formal education, training and professional experience. The position will be “hourly” and carry the College’s staff-benefit package.
 
V.                Education: The successful candidate will hold a an associates degree (preferably bachelors) in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
