Position Description:  Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Education

Type of Position:  Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Education to begin June 2006.

Degree Requirement:  Ph.D. in Elementary Education

Responsibilities:   Teach graduate courses in adult education at Montreat College, Charlotte campus leading to a Masters of Arts degree in Elementary Education; advise students; provide appropriate service to adult education profession, the community, college, and department.

Expectations:  Requires earned doctorate in Elementary Education or related area; valid North Carolina teaching certificate or eligibility required. Prefer record of graduate teaching/practitioner experience; evidence of potential research/scholarship agenda; participation in professional associations; and grant seeking experience.

Rank & Salary:  commensurate with qualifications.

Start Date:  June 2006.
