This summer I interned at a non-denominational church called Westover in Greensboro, North Carolina. Westover has over 3,000 members and has a strong audio and video background. Every Sunday, audio, video, and lighting technology are utilized in some form.
I worked mainly under video broadcasting and production. Although, I did assist in managing and design positions as well. I also had oppurtunities to work with professional software such as AVID editing software.
The experience I gained working behind a camera and in the broadcasting process in general is proof that hands on experience is such a necessary part of a higher education.
