According to Travis Little, head baseball coach for the Montreat College Cavaliers, “We are very excited about Garrett choosing Montreat to continue his education and playing career. We have been very impressed with his ability this summer and his hard work that placed him in the Southern Collegiate All-Star game. He will give us a stronger presence on the mound from the left side. Garrett is not only a very talented player, but also a quality young man that we are looking forward to having in our program.”
The Cavaliers have averaged 36 wins per season in the last four years, and were ranked #1 in Team Defense in 2006 in the NAIA. They have also ranked as high as #12 in overall NAIA national rankings and produced two All-Americans, four All-Region players, and seven Academic All-Americans during that same four-year stretch.
