Cavalier baseball falls to Southern Wesleyan on the road, 11-5
Montreat College traveled to South Carolina to take on the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan in a non-conference match up. Jonathon Madera would start on the mound for the Cavaliers and last until the fifth and would leave with the score tied at four, but the Cavaliers would not be able to rebound from their shaky defense as the Warriors would put up seven more runs to beat Montreat 11-5. Offensively, the Cavaliers were paced by Chris Allen with two hits and a sacrifice fly.
Montreat College now stands at 27-11 and one game out of first place in the AAC race. The Cavaliers return to the diamond in Montreat on Saturday against Covenant College at 1:00pm.
