Montreat College defeated Union College in a non-conference Sunday game 15-2. Patrick Ballew would throw a complete game three hitter with only one earned run while recording nine strikeouts. He would get plenty on run support as the Cavaliers would bat around in the first inning while plating all the run support he would need by scoring five runs. The Cavaliers would also have a seven run inning as well. There were plenty of offensive stars on this day as leadoff hitter Brent Ashbaugh would have four hits and score three runs. Jesse Wise would continue his hot hitting as he would record three more hits along with 2 RBI. Justin Cockrell and Dustin Bartlett would have three hits apiece and score a combined five runs between the two.

Montreat College now stands at 32-14 and will return to action on Tuesday against Southern Virginia in a double header here at Newell field.
