Led by Paul Petway's 20 points, the Buccaneers pulled away in the second half. Tori New provided CCC with a perimeter presence with two 3-pointers and 14 points for the night.
Montreat had three players in double digits with Matthew Pride (So., Asheville, NC) once again leading the way with 16 points. Also, Nate Rooth (So., Raleigh, NC) and Mikie Martin (Fr., Belmont, NC) each contributed 15 points for the Cavaliers, while freshman guard, AJ Smith (Lincolnton, NC) found 10 points of his own.
The Cavaliers end their first semester with a 3-8 overall record. They resume play after the new year as they play host to Wilkes Community College on January 10th (7:00pm).
