"I knew it was going to be a tight game. We gave them a few chances too many, but I have to give Milligan all the credit. They are a well-organized and well-coached team. We didn’t have our ‘A’ game, but Milligan had a lot to do with that,” praised Combs.
The only goal of the match came around the 73rd minute from an overhead throw-in by Ebrima Jagne to Shaka Bangura who found fellow striker Troy Watson. Watson who is the team’s assist leader has found more time as an offensive power as of late, earning him this week’s AAC Offensive Player of the Week.
“Again, this was a complete team effort, from the guys on the field to the guys on the bench. We know this is how we have to play in order to win games of this caliber,” said Combs.
