Montreat College men's soccer team beats AAC rival Bryan College, 2-1.

(Montreat, NC)-The Montreat College men's soccer team beat visiting AAC rival Bryan College, 2-1, Saturday, October 21. Montreat scored all of their goals in the first half, leading 2-0 at half time. Bryan scored their only goal late in the second half for the final score of 2-1.

Scoring for the Cavaliers; Shermon Gardner-(Sr. Trinidad, Tobago) had one goal. Abdul Banguar-(Fr. Atlanta, GA) had one goal. Austin Beck-(So. High Point, NC) had as assist. Howard Fisher-(Fr. Kingston, Jamaica) had five saves.

With the win, Montreat finishes the regular AAC season in second place with a 6-1-1 record and a 13-2-1 overall record for the season. As the second seed, Montreat will host an opening Appalachian Athletic Conference men's soccer tournament game next week. Date and time TBA
