Bishop leads Montreat at Western Carolina Invite
Talisa Bishop led all Montreat performers- in her second race of the night. The women's cross country team found themselves racing twice in one night at the Western Carolina XC Invite Friday night as lightning caused them to stop and seek shelter with just over one mile into the Lady Cavs' first race of the year.
After a two hour rain delay, the men's cross country team, led by freshman Ben Hall began their four mile race through a muddy WCU campus. Hall completed his four mile trek in 23:59, followed by Justin Edward's 25:31.
In the women's second attempt at their two mile race, Bishop finished 9th overall with a time of 12:51, followed by Kirsten Gnagy's 14:09. Also running well was senior Megan Riser with a time of 14:27.
The Cavaliers return to Western Carolina University in two weeks. Full results of this race can be viewed at:
