It didn't take long for Montreat to flash up on the scoreboard, as Solesbee set the stage early in the game by scoring at the three minute mark. But Toccoa Falls responded with a goal of their own to tie the game a few minutes later. But it was Olson's two scores within 60 seconds of each other that sealed the win for Montreat. Brittnye Scott's goal came with four minutes remaining in the first half.
"I didn't realize until I looked at the stat sheet that Solesbee had six assists," praised Woerner, "what a great accomplishment! I knew she had several, but not that many. This is quite an accomplishment for a player and she deserves recognition for that!"
Pleased with his team's overall performance, Coach Woerner felt they struggled a bit in the first 20 minutes of the game, "They got their second wind and were able to play some pretty solid soccer for the remainder of the game. This was a great win for our first home game."
