Brittnye Scott's three goals against Bryan College earned her the NAIA Region XII Player of the Week for women's soccer in the offensive category. Scott managed to spoil Bryan's homecoming game with her hat trick that propelled Montreat to a 4-0 victory. "This is a great honor for Brittnye and the Montreat women's soccer team," said Head Coach Dan Woerner, "the great thing about the Bryan game was that it was a whole team effort. Everyone played their part very well. I think Bryan put a lot of attention on Amanda Solesbee, and overlooked Brittnye's potential. That's the great thing about having two great scorers, if one is covered, the other may be more open and they both have the talent to attack."

Brittnye's Region XII Player of the Week honor is Montreat's first of the season.  "Again, this is well deserved honor for Brittnye," added Coach Woerner.
