This is the type of game and tempo that Coach Gehris has been waiting to see. The Lady Cavs played what Gehris called “Montreat Volleyball” all night and sent Bluefield College home in three straight games, 30-18, 30-15, and 30-14. “This was Montreat Volleyball the entire match. No matter who we play, I like to see us play our game and not our opponent's. Everyone contributed to this win,” said Gehris. Bluefield found no answer for Ally Baumgartner’s 20 kills on the night. Danny Bowers also contributed 10 kills and 11 digs, while Lyndsey Wall added 10 digs of her own and 35 assists.

Rebekah Henderson also provided 10 digs and six kills. With this great team win, Montreat moves to 13-17 overall and 6-11 in the AAC.  This Thursday, Montreat College will host AAC foe Covenant College in the final home game of the 2007 season.  “I hope many of our fans come out and honor our seniors for Senior Night at McAlister Gymnasium," added Gehris.  The match is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm.
