| What does it mean to integrate Faith and Learning? |
Click the title link to view a copy of the first chapter from the book, Why College Matters to God, authored by Rick Ostrander. It is one of the primary books read by all first-time freshman enrolled in the class “Foundations of Faith and Learning.” This is a great read for parents of incoming freshman.

| Is it affiliated with Billy Graham? |
Not directly, although Ruth Bell Graham was an alumna and an honorary member of our Board of Trustees. The steeple and prayer room of the Chapel of the Prodigal are named in her honor, and the L. Nelson Bell Library is named in honor of her father. The Grahams' home is in Montreat.

| What’s so special about Montreat College? |
You're at the cradle of the Black Mountain range, standing in an outdoor-lover's paradise. Imagine an academic setting where each student is valued. Think of all the possibilities that would exist if each student was revered and encouraged in the part they play in a community and not just thought of as a number on a class roster. At Montreat College, we seek to foster this very environment. This is a place where professors are experts in their fields, skilled teachers, and willing mentors to our students. Our community is close, and we are always looking for ways to glorify God with our lives. We believe that faith in God doesn't stop at the pew...it extends into curriculums, onto the athletic field, and into daily tasks. Read our mission statement.
