“Observations” at the Hamilton Gallery

Paul Harcharik, who is teaching visual arts classes at Montreat this fall, will exhibit a collection of his work entitled “Observations” at the Hamilton Gallery during October and November.

Harcharik has been a studio artist for the past 35 years, working in the disciplines of painting, drawing and printmaking.  His work has been included in over 150 competitive exhibitions and included in the permanent collections of the Executive Mansion in Raleigh, NC, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the Achenbach Foundation in San Francisco, among other public and corporate collections around the United States.  He has taught at Pennsylvania State University, where he received his MFA degree; Sacred Heart College, Belmont, NC; and was Director of Printmaking, Spirit Square Arts Center, Charlotte, where he met his wife, Karen. Most recently he was an adjunct assistant professor in the Art Department at UNC–Asheville prior to becoming a sabbatical adjunct for Jim Southerland this term at Montreat College 

The Hamilton Gallery is located on the mezzanine level of the L. Nelson Bell Library. Gallery hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
