Faculty/Director of Nursing Programs

Montreat College is a private Christian college located in Montreat, NC. This position is with the School of Professional and Adult Studies, which has campuses in Asheville, Charlotte and Black Mountain.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate and articulate a personal Christian faith
- Exemplify and articulate a like-mindedness with Montreat College’s Christ-Centered Mission, Vision, and Values
- Doctorate degree in Nursing and nursing credentials
- Prefer teaching experience and experience in curriculum development
- Should be knowledgeable with state nursing requirements and certifications
- This position requires administrative and teaching responsibilities
- Should have a valid drivers license and the ability to travel to multiple campus locations
Responsibilities include:
- Providing over-site and direction for academics in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. The Faculty Director will help establish program standards, develop the nursing curriculum and teach in the nursing program to insure quality and compliance.
- Assisting with the recruitment of students by conducting information sessions and meeting with prospective students one-on-one.
- Working with the Faculty Director to approve and evaluate adjunct faculty for the nursing program
- Developing internal systems for repetitive processes and procedures
- Providing documentation for SACS accreditation reviews and state requirements
- Participating in campus faculty meetings, workshops and initiatives
This position reports to the VP/Dean of Academics and VP for Adult Studies.
