The Swannanoa Valley Fine Arts League boasts a membership of more than 90 area artists who work in a variety of media, including oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, pencil, pen and ink, photography, sculpture, clay, glass, mixed media, fiber art, and collage. Forty pieces will be will be selected by Beverly Kies, who will judge the exhibit. Jim Southerland, the Gallery Director, will curate the show.
The Swannanoa Valley Fine Arts League has been active in Western North Carolina for over forty years. The League promotes visual fine arts with workshops, ongoing classes, exhibits, as well as giving scholarships for study in the arts. The Hamilton Gallery is located in the mezzanine level of the L. Nelson Bell Library.
