Step 5: Legislative Tuition Grant (LTG) - SAS  
The North Carolina Legislative Tuition Grant is only made available to
North Carolina Residents of 1 or more years.
If you are not a N.C. resident, please proceed to the next step.

  • Print out the form
  • Fill out the form
  • Return the LTG form to:

You must complete and return the LTG form to possibly receive the North Carolina Legislative Tuition Grant. This form must be filled out every year.

If you change your schedule, your eligibility for the grant may change
Grant funds will be returned to the state and will not be re-issued to you.
 
You must have ALL of your paperwork (FAFSA, and the LTG form, ) in to the Financial Aid Office by:
  •  the Fall deadline of 9/22

and/or 

  • the Spring deadline of 1/22. 

If you do not have the paperwork in by the fall deadline, you may qualify for the spring deadline.


 *** Residency Question #12 must be completed in full if you have lived in North Carolina for less than 2 years. – (a) AND (b) MUST be completed regardless.
 
*** if you have lived in N.C. for less than 2 years please provide proof that your parents are North Carolina Residents with a residency date of 1 year or more (such as a N.C. driver’s license and property taxes)

To Complete the Application:
  • Use your Legal Name as it is listed on your social security card
  • Address must be a Street AddressNOT A POST OFFICE BOX!
  • SPAS students are Full Time
  • You are applying for the entire academic year
  • Complete the parental information if you are a dependent student (most SAS students are)
  • The form is not valid if all columns in questions #12 are not completed if you have lived in N.C. for less than two years
  • Fill out Both Sides of the form
  • The form must be Signed.

By accepting the North Carolina Legislative Tuition Grant, you are fully committed to those classes that you enrolled in that consist of the highlighted classes on your award letter from the Financial Aid Office.  If you test out of a class or transfer in credits for a class you have been awarded for, you may loose some or all of your aid. 

LTG will disburse  towards the end of your semester if elligible.
