PIN Registration
Anyone wishing to apply for federal or state loans or grants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In order to ensure the most timely processing of your FAFSA it is necessary that you first register for you Personal Identification Number (PIN) online at the Department of Education's PIN registration site. See link below.
Again, remember that signing electronically will speed up the processing of your financial aid package and subsequent award acceptance. It may also allow you to e-sign your Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note. With these important application steps in mind, click on the PIN registration link below for answers to further questions and to start the process of applying for you PIN immediately.
Please Note
Once applied for, your PIN may take 72 hours to be delivered to you. This is no reason to delay the completion of your FAFSA on the Department of Education's official website. You will be permitted to return to your saved FAFSA to e-sign it once you have received your PIN.
Opening the PIN website will open a separate browser window. When you have completed the PIN application process, close the PIN window and you will return to this page.
Dependent student’s parents should also apply for a PIN #.
