Psychology: Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology (tenure-track)

The Montreat College Social Sciences Department invites applications for a tenure-track psychology position beginning in August of 2009. Montreat College is a Christian liberal arts college whose faculty members should be able to communicate their Christian faith and communicate how they integrate their faith in the classroom. Therefore, as part of the application package, applicants should submit a statement of their understanding of the interface of Christianity and psychology.

Requirements

Requirements for this position include a Ph.D. in psychology and evidence of quality teaching experience/potential. Preference for this position will be given to those who can demonstrate a history/ability to conduct and maintain a program of research that holds promise of collaboration with undergraduate students. The position requires teaching broadly at the undergraduate level across some of the following areas: introductory psychology, physiological psychology, personality psychology, statistics, research methods, human sexuality, cognitive psychology, internship supervision, and psychological assessment. Applicants should also be motivated and able to engage with students beyond the classroom.
