Montreat College Position Opening: Vice President for Enrollment Management
 
The College and Position
Montreat College (http://www.montreat.edu), located near Asheville in the mountains of Western North Carolina, seeks an experienced strategic enrollment management professional to oversee an established Enrollment Services operation that serves the approximately 1,150 students. Montreat College is the only Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) school in North Carolina, and is committed to the integration of faith and learning in a Christ-centered environment.
 
The Vice President reports to the President and serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet. Direct reports include: the Director of Enrollment Marketing & Communication (traditional campus), Director of Enrollment Development & Outreach (traditional campus), Director of Records and Registration (serves both the traditional campus and non-traditional adult campuses), and the Director of Financial Aid (serves both the traditional campus and the non-traditional adult campuses). The Vice President leads campus-wide teams including the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Committee and Integrated Marketing Team, as well as serves on various strategic and process-level teams.
 
Education, Experience, and Attributes
The ideal candidate will exhibit the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree at an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience at the senior administrative level in the enrollment management area, with knowledge of the systematic, relational, and strategic efforts required for all enrollment services areas.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of and proven ability to execute an SEM approach.
  • A commitment to continuous growth as an enrollment management professional.
  • Experience in using institutional scholarships to leverage the enrollment.
  • Experience with and/or understanding of non-term academic programming.
  • Experience in training, coordinating, and leading staff, including Christian faith integration.
  • Ability to work across campus units to sustain an SEM effort.
  • Ability to work in an environment of growth and change.
  • Ability to manage and allocate resources strategically.
  • Willingness to lead professionally and live out personally the college’s mission statement.
