Vice President and Dean of Academics
Montreat College invites nominations and applications for its chief academic officer position, the Vice President and Dean of Academics. Montreat College is a Christian liberal arts college accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Associate’s degree, the Bachelor’s degree, and the Master’s degree.
 
The Vice President and Dean of Academics provides leadership and management for the college’s faculty, academic staff, and students in pursuit of fulfilling the college’s mission: Christ-Centered, Student-Focused, Service-Driven: Equipping agents of transformation, renewal and reconciliation. He or she will report directly to the president and will be responsible for curricular, programmatic, and intellectual direction of the college in all academic areas including graduate programs, on-campus programs, off-campus programs, and academic support services. 
 
Successful applicants must support the mission as a Christian liberal arts institution. An earned doctorate and a record of exemplary college teaching that would qualify for the rank of associate or full professor is required. Additional qualifications include, academic program development, assessment experience, and demonstrated management ability. 
 

Formal appointment by August 1, 2009 is anticipated. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications, background and experience. Send nominations or letters of application and vita to:
