The Outdoor Education Immersion Semester will be traveling to Montana for a "Foundations Trip" where they will travel on backcountry skiis and learn how to camp in the snow as a means to build community and learn new skills. This is the second Immerison Semester coordinated by Dr. Andrew Bobilya and the Outdoor Education Department. Once the students return, they will spend two and a half weeks on campus planning for a 21-day expedition in the mountains of western North Carolina which will certify them as Outdoor Leaders through the Wilderness Education Association. Please pray for the safety of this program and that God would use the time in the wilderness to draw the students and staff closer to Him. Dr. Bobilya is assisted by Professor Dave Sperry, Dr. Brian Joye, five upper class O.E. students and alumni along with staff from other organizations throughout the semester. For more information on the Immersion Semester, please contact Dr. Bobilya.
