Sprinkle's paintings fall into two categories: narrative paintings that use mainly animals to suggest stories and allude to symbolic relationships, and landscape images that serve as a record of the artist's travels. Not satisfied with a casual pursuit of painting, Sprinkle earned Master's and Ph.D. degrees from the College of William and Mary in order to understand what art is and does.
The Hamilton Gallery is located on the mezzanine level of the L. Nelson Bell Library. Gallery hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. and Sat-Sun 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
