Coach Bill Robinson signs talented Hardin from SC

Head Coach Bill Robinson and the rest of the Varsity Men’s Basketball team at Montreat College welcomed their newest player to the Cavalier ranks today – Rhett Hardin, a 6’2, 190-pound shooting guard transferring from the University of South Carolina Upstate. After red shirting his first year, Harbin comes to Montreat College to major in Communication and he’s excited about playing the next three years here. He says, “It feels great to be a part of the Montreat basketball program and to be playing under Coach Robinson.”

A 2006 graduate of Boiling Springs High School in Boiling Springs, SC, Hardin was a three year recipient of the Coaches Award and was selected to the Upstate East / West All-Star Team in 2006. He was also selected to be part of the All-Star Team at the 2006 Georgia Peach Jam Showcase. Hardin feels comfortable already, explaining, “A lot of my family is from this area, and this is just a beautiful mountain town.”
