Men's Soccer Rolls Over North Greenville 2-0

Montreat men’s soccer team rolls over North Greenville with a two-to-nothing victory. Shaka Bangura (JR, Freetown, Sierra Leone) did all the damage as he netted both goals for the Cavaliers. His first goal came in the first half off of a Sami Bin (FR, Porto Alegre, Brazil) assist. Then in the second half, Bangura places another shot (unassisted) past the North Greenville keeper to bring the score to 2-0.

Despite the win, first year Montreat Head Coach Brenton Benware was disappointed with the team's first half performance. “It was not our best performance of the season, but we played scrappy and pulled out the victory. We talked at halftime and came out and played a much better second half. Howard Fisher (JR, Kingston, Jamaica) also collected his 21st career shutout.”

The Cavs will be back in action on the road facing top-ranked Lindsey Wilson College on Saturday, September 13th in a 1:00 pm start.
