Communicating With Financial Aid
The most efficient method of contact for the financial aid office is email. Please make sure we have your current email to make you receive the best service from our office.
Financial Need
Most student financial aid funds are awarded based on financial need. The exceptions to this include unsubsidized Stafford Loans and the North Carolina Legislative Tuition Grant.
Dependency Status
Students are classified as dependent or independent because federal student aid programs are based on the idea that students, and their families, if applicable, have the primary responsibility for paying for their post-secondary education.
