Montreat College offers two types of Work Study: Federal College Work Study and Montreat College Work Study.
Federal Work Study Programs provide jobs for undergraduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay educational expenses. Students are assigned to most departments on campus. Current wages are $5.60, and students work an average of 9 hrs. per week.
Montreat College Work Study is awarded to students who do not have a financial need. Funding is extremely limited and generally reserved for specific skilled positions such as tutors, RA’s, and computer lab assistants.
Students working for both programs turn in timesheets monthly and are paid around the 15th of the following month.
