Now that you have registered for a CLIMBE science expedition, you can begin preparing for the adventure.
Start Packing
Deciding what to bring on an adventure can be overwhelming. That's why we've created a list of exactly what you need. CLIMBE will provide the necessary gear, such as sleeping bags and backpacks. Follow the "What to Bring" list precisely (no additions or subtractions), and you will have all you need for an enjoyable, safe experience. Please also pay attention to the "What NOT to Bring" list, which is equally important.

Clothing and Gear Guidance
Because your adventure will be in the elements, the type of clothing and gear you bring could make or break your trip. Here are a few tips for bringing the right stuff:
All garments must be synthetic material or wool – no cotton.
Plan to wear layers – a base layer, an insulating layer, and a rain shell.
A good rain jacket is essential – it will protect you from the elements.
Your boots must be broken-in – this will save you discomfort during the trip.
Don’t buy new clothing or gear – visit thrift stores or borrow from friends.
Survey
Please complete this survey prior to reading the pre-trip materials listed below. You will complete a similar survey at the end of your trip. We will compare your pre-trip and post-trip scores for internal evaluation. These surveys have no bearing on your attendance prior to, during, or after the trip. Choose your science expedition below:
