Chaplain's Office

A key element in student life at Montreat College is a vital Christian community. This community grows by adherence to the Bible's message of truth, love, forgiveness, reconciliation, and recognition of Christ as Lord. The emphasis is not upon achieving perfection, but upon service and growth toward maturity.

SERVICE

The apostle James said it best when he wrote, “Faith without works is dead.” At Montreat College we firmly believe that “belief” is active. Whether through missions, social justice, or evangelism, Montreat College invites students to serve rather than be served.

WORSHIP

We were created to worship, and if we aren’t intentional about our worship of God we slowly slip into a routine of worshiping ourselves. Communal worship is central to life at Montreat College, with chapel every week as well as other opportunities for worship.

DISCIPLESHIP

The Christian life is often described as a race. It is not a destination, but rather a constant journey. At Montreat College we desire to not only introduce students to Jesus, but invite them to become his disciples.

Montreat is a place where God reminds you that you cannot live on the faith of your parents, your church or your culture forever.
