Montreat College Writing Festival

Montreat Creative Writing Festival

Plan to join us Friday, May 18, 2012!

We're excited about Creative Writing here at Montreat College. The Montreat Creative Writing Festival has been a great success the past three years, and we've planned another day of workshops and featured speakers all geared to get high school students and educators excited about writing. Take a workshop in your favorite genre, or try out a new genre. Meet and ask questions of published authors. Get inspired by our beautiful campus. Attend an editing session with a writing expert. Read your work as the open mic!  This day is all about young people in our community geared and ready to write!

Cost: $15.00 per student participant (includes all workshops and luncheon); Participation is free for administrators and educators. Please let us know you're coming at kangle@montreat.edu.

Also, enter our Creative Writing Contest in Fiction and Poetry--we've given away thousands of Montreat Scholarship Dollars over the past three years--submit 5 pages of fiction or poetry by April 30th, 2012.
